The City of Exeter

Exeter is the ideal place to study English and has been voted Number 1 in England for quality of life.

Founded by the Romans almost 2000 years ago, the centre is rich in history and encircled by the original city walls.

Today, Exeter has a population of 120,000. It is an important business and administrative centre and is home to a major university with over 10,000 students.

There is a wide range of cultural activities to engage in, including theatres, museums, art galleries and a diverse range of pubs, coffee houses and night spots. Summer and Autumn sees the city alive with colourful activity during the

Exeter Festival.
