Teachers and Teaching
All of our teachers are experienced and qualified and use a mixture of authentic and original materials together with published courses.
We place equal emphasis on the four language skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking - and each class is taught by a team of three or four teachers, each one responsible for a different language skill and the whole course is co-ordinated by The Director of Studies.
Exeter Academy has a special teaching system, the Multi-level multi-skill system, which allows each student to be in the most suitable class for: 'Grammar', 'Speaking and listening' and 'Reading writing and vocabulary'.
On your first day at Exeter Academy, you will be given an entry test and then placed in a class according to your language level. At the end of your course, you will be given a Certificate of Attendance showing the level of English attained.
We continually assess your progress.
Students making rapid progress can move to a higher class and those who are finding the work too difficult can move to an easier level.
